I've never really been sick ever. I'm a werewolf, so my body heals faster and I have a better immune system than humans do. Most things that affect humans, we don't catch.
[Because if so, wow her brother is way more social here than he ... has ever been, really. Also pretend that picture is in color but same expression, because Cora probably ambushed him in the elevator on the way to their loft.]
I never really appreciated medicine until I actually needed it.
Yeah, humans have always been really ... resourceful that way? If there's something they don't understand, they'll do whatever it takes to figure it out.
[Sometimes regardless of the cost, which isn't always such a good thing.]
Maybe you'll get to? Maybe he'll come here too. Which can be slightly awkward due to the nature of the place, but I'm sure you'd be able to figure it out.
[Derek and Cora are starting to. Derek was trying to make up for lost time, to be the big brother he thinks he's supposed to be rather than the one she actually needs, but things are starting to even out a bit now.]
Hunters. Which ... I mean, the existence of hunters is necessary, to a point. There are bad werewolves and shifters out there, and we can't always be trusted to police ourselves. It's hard to stand up to your alpha or even go up against a pack of shifters who are only after power.
But just like there are good and bad shifters, there are good and bad hunters too. Hunters are supposed to go by a code, but not all of them follow it - they'll just kill whatever werewolves they come across, simply because they can, whether it's to establish dominance or just because they like the thrill of the kill.
[there's a long pause before she finishes it off, but ...]
A crew of hunters set my house on fire when I was eleven, killing everyone inside. All that's really left now are me, my brother and my uncle. But it wasn't all werewolves that they killed either - members of our family were human, and there were some kids in there too, which is against their code.
[ Nadass is taken aback by all that abbot hunters and killing. ]
I think there's a lot to werewolves that I don't understand. I'm so sorry to hear about your family. I can't imagine what that kind of loss must feel like.

Did you get sick last month? It was awful, I think, for so many people. I haven't been sick like that since I was a child.
no subject
So yeah - last month really sucked.

I had some allergies when I first arrived on Earth, but the reaction was not as bad as how sick I got last month. Just some sneezing and a fever.

One of my human cousins had hay fever pretty bad when I was a kid. He always seemed miserable, so I'm sorry you had to deal with either.
no subject
Hay fever, yes! I had forgotten what it was called.

[It's just out of curiosity, but it's possible it might have been a member of her pack. There are a few of them here.]
He always hated the spring. He would always be sneezing.

[ The conversation was a few months ago. She doesn't remember his last name. ]
Yes, that's exactly how I was, until I started medicating to prevent the symptoms.

This Derek?

Medicine can work wonders. I have a lot of respect for the doctors and scientists involved.

[So good job! You have collected all the Hales.]

except Peter]How lovely. Are you two close?
Resourcefulness isn't a trait that's limited to humans. My people show their fair share of it.
no subject
yep, except him, but he'll probably never show up in Eudio]... Kind of? We were separated for a while so we're still trying to figure that out.
[It is not a smooth process, but they're trying.]
No, it's not. But where I'm from, humans can be super dangerous if you underestimate them. At least for people like me.
no subject
Dangerous? How so?

It was really tough, but we figured it out. Or we're still figuring it out. Either way, the person responsible paid for what they did.
[She just won't mention that that justice was more like revenge.]
