Yeah, it's really safe. I was wary at first, but I trust them.

[It will take her more than that to trust them herself, but she's glad to know that things are good here, and that she probably doesn't have to worry about dying anytime soon.]

I'm just not used to these kinds of deals. Where I'm from, they're more about leverage than anything else. They're not actually about helping people.

I'm not sure what follows after the city, but they seem to be keeping everyone in good spirits. Even some of the skeptics, I think.

That's pretty impressive. Though I guess if they really couldn't sell someone on it, they wouldn't be here in the first place.

They can leave whenever they want too, but I've seen a lot of familiar faces in the time I've been here.

Only three now. There were more but they decided to go home again. Unfinished business.

They're just all seem to know more about me than I do. It's not exactly ... they trust me more than I trust them.

Actually, everyone else I know is further down the timeline than I am.

How do you deal with that? Their expectations of who you're supposed to be to them.

It's a little less complicated for me. They don't see much of me after a while.

Me either, apparently. But I'm still ... in the middle of learning to trust them.

[Granted, she doesn't know that Wells is referring to death. She just knows she leaves town and she's way behind everyone else.]

I actually get that feeling a lot. Some people have their reasons for not trusting me. I understanding now that there's been some distance between now and when we had last seen each other all at once.

Time helps, if you're lucky enough to have it.

Well, I'm not going anywhere until I get my incentive. I guess that means as of right now I have nothing but.

More like ... I take a while to warm up to people? Physically, anyway.

I understand. I'm not very ... cuddly either. Other people still manage to make it work, somehow.

I'm hoping so. Otherwise people wouldn't be here to make the city work in the first place.
