I'll probably be back and forth. Someone I helped recruit is getting squired and I want to stay for a bit to make sure he settles.
[Translation: "I have to babysit a volatile baby werewolf on his first full moon through the Veil." Though it's actually a lunar eclipse, so it's more like he's babysitting her and helping her through her "I hate being human" phase.]

I guess that's why most people go into law enforcement. I'd suck at it, though. I'd never be able to play by the rules.

[Yeah, Cora doesn't know enough about him to tell that. She just nods in agreement. This entire world is better for her, honestly, because with people who are different so out in the open she doesn't feel as much like she's hiding.

[She pauses, considering for a moment because that ... is a question. The Hales haven't exactly been faithful in the traditional sense, they don't have gods or even God. But they still have their beliefs. It's just not exactly the thing that's easy to word.]

But growing up a wolf you're taught to believe in the safety of the pack, in your alpha. That we don't have to be killers just because of what we are - that it's a choice we make.

Taking our tolerance and control away we would tear whatever was in front of us to shreds when we actually felt the moon again. I didn't feel the moon until I fell through the Veil.
But Stiles knew me from Beacon Hills, and I hadn't been back home before that.
